More than a polish

Stop gum disease early

Bleeding gums are the first stage of a disease that silently costs adults their teeth. Regular hygiene visits stop it in its tracks.

Fresh breath, instantly

Tartar and trapped plaque are the usual culprits behind persistent bad breath. A professional clean resolves it at the source.

Catch problems while they're small

A tiny cavity found today is a simple filling. Found next year, it's a root canal. Prevention is the cheapest dentistry there is.

Prevention, explained

Gum disease is the quietest expensive problem in dentistry

Nearly every adult has some gum inflammation; most don't know it, because early gum disease doesn't hurt. It just bleeds a little, recedes a little, and quietly loosens teeth over years. The hygiene visit is how you opt out.

How it starts

Plaque — the soft film your toothbrush removes — hardens into tartar within days wherever brushing misses. Tartar can't be brushed off; it shelters bacteria against the gumline, and the gums respond by inflaming. That's gingivitis: bleeding when you brush, puffiness, morning breath.

Where it goes if ignored

Untreated, inflammation creeps below the gumline and begins dissolving the bone that holds teeth in place — periodontitis. It's the leading cause of adult tooth loss, and the bone it takes doesn't come back. The bitter irony: it's almost entirely preventable with routine care.

What professional cleaning actually does

Ultrasonic scaling vibrates tartar off every surface — including just below the gumline where the real damage brews — then polishing smooths the enamel so plaque struggles to regrip. Caught at the gingivitis stage, gum disease is fully reversible. That sentence is worth the whole visit.

The health connection

Research consistently links chronic gum inflammation with wider health issues, including cardiovascular risk and blood-sugar control in diabetes. Your gums aren't a separate country from the rest of your body — treating a hygiene visit as healthcare, not grooming, is simply accurate.

Is it time for a professional clean?

Honest triage: if any of the first list sounds familiar, book this week rather than this quarter.

Book promptly if…

  • Your gums bleed when you brush or floss
  • It's been more than six months since your last clean
  • Breath freshness doesn't survive the morning
  • You can feel rough buildup behind your lower front teeth
  • Gums look red or puffy at the edges, or teeth look longer than they used to

Extra good reasons to come in…

  • You're pregnant — hormonal changes make gums more reactive, and care is completely safe
  • You wear braces or aligners — hardware makes cleaning harder exactly when it matters more
  • You smoke — you're at higher risk and, notably, your gums may bleed less while disease progresses
  • You have diabetes — gum health and blood sugar influence each other in both directions

Between visits: the routine that does 90% of the work

Twice daily

Two minutes, properly

A fluoride toothpaste, gentle circles at the gumline, and — the step most people skip — spit, don't rinse, so the fluoride keeps working.

Once daily

Between the teeth

Floss or interdental brushes reach the third of each tooth your brush never touches. Bleeding at first is the inflammation talking; within two weeks of daily cleaning it typically stops.

Every 6 months

Reset to zero

Professional scaling clears whatever your routine missed, and the check catches anything new while it's still trivial.

Watch for

The early whispers

Bleeding, persistent bad breath, new sensitivity at the gumline — each is a reason to come in sooner, not a reason to brush harder.

Behind the scenes

Our clinical standards

The things you can't see from a price list — and the reason our work carries a guarantee.

Licensed clinicians

Every dentist and specialist is licensed by the UAE health authorities for the emirate they treat in.

Hospital-grade sterilisation

Instruments are autoclaved and sealed per patient, with single-use items wherever contact matters.

Certified materials only

Implant systems, porcelain and restorative materials come from internationally certified manufacturers — with documentation you can keep.

Digital diagnostics

3D imaging, intraoral scanning and microscope-assisted treatment mean we see precisely — and treat conservatively.

Everything in writing

Diagnosis, options and an itemised fixed quote before treatment starts. If it's not written down, you don't pay for it.

Ethical by design

Our clinicians are salaried to diagnose honestly, not to sell treatment. Second opinions are welcomed, never resented.

Questions, answered honestly

How often should I have a professional clean?
Every six months for most people; every three to four months if you have gum disease or build tartar quickly. We'll recommend honestly based on your gums.
Does scaling hurt or damage teeth?
No — ultrasonic scaling is gentle and removes only deposits, never tooth structure. Sensitive patients can request extra comfort measures.
My gums bleed when I brush. Is that normal?
Common, but not normal — bleeding is the first sign of gum inflammation. The good news: caught early, it's fully reversible with professional cleaning and good home care.
Can a cleaning whiten my teeth?
It removes surface stains from coffee, tea and smoking, so teeth look noticeably brighter — though it won't change your underlying shade like Zoom whitening does.
Does scaling damage or thin the enamel?
No — this is the most persistent myth in dentistry. Ultrasonic scaling removes only the hardened deposits sitting on teeth; enamel is far harder than tartar. The 'grooves' people fear feeling afterwards are simply clean surfaces that were previously coated.
Why do my teeth feel sensitive after a clean?
Where tartar has been covering root surfaces, those areas briefly meet the world again — a day or two of mild sensitivity is normal and settles. Sensitive-formula toothpaste helps it pass faster.
Can a hygiene visit fix bad breath for good?
If the cause is tartar and trapped plaque — which it usually is — yes, often dramatically. If breath issues persist after a clean and good home care, that's diagnostic information, and we'll investigate properly rather than sell you mouthwash.
