Why whiten with a dentist

Actually works

Professional-strength whitening achieves in one hour what strips and toothpastes can't do in months.

Safe for teeth & gums

Your gums are sealed and protected, concentration is matched to your enamel, and a dentist supervises throughout.

Longer-lasting results

We finish with care instructions and optional top-up trays so your brightness lasts months, not weeks.

The science

Why professional whitening actually works

Every whitening product uses the same chemistry — peroxide breaking down stain molecules inside the enamel. What differs is concentration, safety and supervision. That's the whole story of why results differ so much.

Two kinds of stains

Surface (extrinsic) stains from coffee, tea and smoking sit on the enamel — a professional clean lifts much of these alone. Deeper (intrinsic) discolouration lives inside the tooth structure, and only peroxide whitening reaches it. That's why we always clean first: so the gel works on what only it can change.

Why in-chair beats the pharmacy aisle

Regulations cap over-the-counter products at a fraction of professional strength — that's why strips take months to do what a supervised session does in an hour. Charcoal pastes are mildly abrasive stain-scrubbers at best; they cannot change your underlying shade. The chemistry simply isn't there.

The Zoom protocol

Gums are sealed with a protective barrier, professional-strength gel goes on, and a calibrated light activates it in three to four fifteen-minute cycles while you listen to a podcast. You see the shade change the same afternoon; how far it moves varies by person.

Safety, honestly stated

Peroxide whitening under dental supervision doesn't weaken or damage enamel — decades of research back this. The honest caveat is temporary sensitivity for a day or two, which our desensitising protocol keeps to a minimum. Unsupervised overuse of strong gels is where whitening earns its horror stories; that's precisely what supervision exists to prevent.

Will whitening work for you?

Ninety seconds of honest triage — and the quick check before treatment confirms it.

You'll love the results if…

  • Your teeth have yellowed with coffee, tea or time
  • You have a wedding, event or new chapter coming up
  • Your teeth and gums are healthy
  • You want a visible change in a single visit
  • Your last professional clean is a distant memory — the package handles both

Let's talk first if…

  • You have crowns, veneers or fillings in your smile line — they don't whiten, and we'll plan around matching
  • Discolouration is greyish or banded (e.g. childhood antibiotics) — possible, but expectations need honesty
  • You have sensitive teeth — the desensitising protocol exists for you
  • You're pregnant or nursing — we'll simply wait; it's the prudent standard

Keeping it bright

First 48 hours

The white-shirt rule

Enamel is briefly more porous — if it would stain a white shirt, postpone it. Coffee, red wine, turmeric and cola wait two days; water, milk and pale foods are fine.

First week

Sensitivity fades

Any temperature twinges settle within days. Sensitive-formula toothpaste smooths the ride.

Ongoing

Six to twelve months of brightness

How long results last tracks your habits — a straw for iced coffee and a rinse of water after red wine genuinely buy months.

When it dims

Top up, don't restart

Optional take-home trays let you refresh brightness in a few evenings rather than repeating the full session.

Behind the scenes

Our clinical standards

The things you can't see from a price list — and the reason our work carries a written aftercare commitment.

Licensed clinicians

Every dentist and specialist is licensed by the UAE health authorities for the emirate they treat in.

Hospital-grade sterilisation

Instruments are autoclaved and sealed per patient, with single-use items wherever contact matters.

Certified materials only

Implant systems, porcelain and restorative materials come from internationally certified manufacturers — with documentation you can keep.

Digital diagnostics

3D imaging, intraoral scanning and microscope-assisted treatment mean we see precisely — and treat conservatively.

Everything in writing

Diagnosis, options and an itemised fixed quote before treatment starts. If it's not written down, you don't pay for it.

Ethical by design

Our clinicians are salaried to diagnose honestly, not to sell treatment. Second opinions are welcomed, never resented.

Questions, answered honestly

Will whitening damage my enamel?
No — professional whitening under dental supervision is safe for enamel. We check your dental health first and tailor the treatment to your teeth.
Does it hurt?
Some patients feel temporary sensitivity for 24–48 hours. We use desensitising protocols to keep this to a minimum.
How long do results last?
Typically 6–12 months or longer, depending on coffee, tea and smoking habits. Top-up trays can extend your results indefinitely.
Why do I need a cleaning first?
Whitening gel can't work through plaque and surface buildup. Cleaning first ensures an even, brighter result — which is why we bundle them.
Exactly how white will my teeth get?
A change of several shades is common with Zoom, but your starting shade and stain type set the ceiling — yellowish stains usually respond well, greyish ones more modestly. We measure your shade before treatment and tell you honestly what to expect.
Why not just buy strips and save money?
For one or two shades over a month of daily use, strips are fine. For a visible change by Friday, with gums protected and an even result, the chemistry and supervision of in-chair whitening are what you're actually paying for — plus the clean, which strips can't do at all.
How often can I whiten?
A full in-chair session once every 12–18 months with occasional tray top-ups is a sensible, enamel-safe rhythm for most people. More than that is rarely needed — and we'll say so rather than sell you sessions.
